Being a teacher means responsibility as a role model for future generations...
Hello! My name is Carole Hoeltje and I am a teacher in the Sharks classroom.
I obtained by Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, and I am dual certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have been working with children for the past 23 years, in both classroom and administrative roles. My family and I relocated to the Florida Keys four years ago, and I have been here at Ocean Studies ever since. Being a teacher means responsibility as a role model for future generations, and I take that critical position, with unwavering gratitude. I am dedicated, consistent, and enthusiastic about teaching and learning. I am constantly striving to increase my own knowledge, learn everything I can, and continue to grow my skills. I hope to instill this drive in my students, as well.
When I am not in the classroom, I can be found with my nose in a good book, spending time with my husband, PJ, and son, Jesse, on the water, or cooking up a storm in my kitchen.
