Everglades National Park is a 1.5-million-acre wetlands preserve on the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida. Often compared to a grassy, slow-moving river, the Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. AND WE MADE OUR HAIR LOOK LIKE IT FOR SPIRIT WEEK!!! Good times in the 'Glades!!
When kiddos have FUN with learning is when the real magic happens! They may never remember what a wetland is from only reading about one in a book or on a worksheet, but making your hair look like one - now THAT sticks with you!
#thefutureofoceanstudies loves to celebrate our Everglades backyard!
